The 16 players played for the entire week, and it was a common thing for numerous contestants to win big jackpots. At the start of the week, one of the contestants was selected at random to be the king of the hill. This player stood at a podium facing the other 15 players who represented the numbers 1-15 which each had a dollar value and a riddle. Each of the five contestants taking part in this game show is given a brightly coloured case which contains one of five cash amounts ranging from zero to the five thousand pound top prize. They will answer questions to win the right to take their case with them into a soundproof room where they can choose to either take a peek inside the case of one of their rivals or ask host Dan Walker if the amount contained in one of the other cases is more or less than the amount in their own case - but they cannot look into their own case to see what amount it contains. Successful players then progress to the endgame where, based on the information they have gathered they can choose to either keep hold of their own case or challenge another player for theirs. One winning player will get to open one case and keep the prize money inside. Written by Mark_a_Wood [email protected]
